Rising 36 stories above the iconic New York skyline, Intercontinental New York Times Square is in the heart of the world-famous Times Square district – the epicenter of the theater, dining, fashion, media and business worlds. The 607-room hotel, which premiered in July 2010, features panoramic views of Manhattan and the Hudson River, delivering a new insider’s view of the city.
The Intercontinental New York Times Square is committed to the environment and has undertaken a number of green initiatives in its pursuit of LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), an internationally recognized green building certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Upon completion and certification, the hotel will be one of the most environmentally responsible green hotels in the New York area, and the largest new-build hotel to achieve LEED status on the Eastern Seaboard. In many instances, initiatives are employed that go above and beyond those that are required to be an eco-friendly hotel.

Featuring 607 rooms including 29 Suites and drawing upon natural elements, the guest rooms are designed to evoke the feeling of a chic Manhattan residence with dramatic views of the city, Times Square and the Hudson River. The bathrooms offer a spa-inspired experience with walk-in rain showers accentuated with midnight blue mosaic tile made to resemble sparkling water, making the Intercontinental the premiere New York hotel. Appealing to both business and leisure travelers, all hotel rooms feature a workstation, 42” HD TV, wired and wireless Internet options and other technological amenities. Each room was created to be a warm, inviting respite from the bustle of New York.
With the grandest accommodation New York City hotels have to offer, the top-story, 2700 sq. ft. Presidential Suite boasts three beautiful bedrooms and a two-story living space with fireplace and unmatched views. Framing the panoramic views are columns paneled in wood with Mother of Pearl insets. A grand staircase rises to the second floor master bedroom with its own fireplace and bath, and features a free-standing tub and sliding glass doors that open to spectacular views of New York City.
InterContinental New York Times Square has more than 10,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting and event space located on a dedicated meeting floor, including the 4,000-square-foot Gotham Park Ballroom, conducive for a New York City conference or special event. The hotel’s additional ten separate meeting rooms are each named after Manhattan parks – Central Park, Bryant Park, Union Square Park, and Gramercy Park, among others encompassing the hotel’s theme of natural and environmental elements.
InterContinental Meetings is a comprehensive approach to delivering a memorable experience, which is seamless for planners and delegates alike. The Insider Meeting Collection is a program designed to express InterContinental’s “In the Know” philosophy for meetings, offering planners an array of meetings propositions that capture the appeal and interest of this New York meetings destination so they can easily engage their delegates.
Meetings hosted at the InterContinental Times Square allow delegates’ unmatched access to Broadway and all that Midtown Manhattan has to offer, from fashionable shops to nightlife.
