The décor of The Madison's 353 guest rooms and suites draws upon the classic refinement of the Federalist era, with Georgian, Federal and American Empire-style furnishings. Rooms feature 300-count Egyptian cotton sheets, 400-count Frette duvet covers, high-speed Internet access, two telephones with two lines, and complete concierge service. Complimentary newspaper and in-room coffee and tea service are also provided.

The Madison's more than 12,000 sq. ft. of private function space is conveniently located on the second floor to afford maximum flexibility and easy accessibility via elevator or the dramatic, sweeping staircase that leads to an expansive foyer, lending a special sense of occasion to events. Natural light distinguishes six of the meeting rooms, while all twelve feature rich finishes, stately furnishings and 21st-century technology, including individual climate controls; high-speed and wireless Internet access; state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment; and the services of a professionally staffed, onsite audiovisual office.

The Federalist draws upon regional culinary traditions to present polished 21st-century French cuisine. Since 1963, the PostScript Bar has been a neighborhood fixture, with inviting leather club chairs and rich, mahogany décor accented by eye-catching images of presidential memorabilia.
