While flexible, functional indoor space that can be configured to fit your business needs is essential, we know that outdoor space is what can really wow your attendees and set the stage for a memorable event. Fresh air, stunning landscapes and interesting landscaping are just a few common threads of the spaces we've chosen to feature from our Mountain Collection.

To that end, we have selected a handful of ALHI properties in North America with spectacular outdoor mountain venues to inspire your next event.

Let's Take it Outside

Idaho

In the Pacific Northwest, The Coeur d'Alene Resort in northern Idaho sits on the north shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, which National Geographic calls one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Just 40 minutes east of the Spokane International Airport, your guests will feel a world away as soon as they breathe in the fresh mountain air and gaze over the serene lake. The resort has plenty of indoor meeting space to accommodate your group, but kick your event up a notch when you take it outside amidst the beautiful, natural environment. The Lakeview Terrace can be set up to your liking, and if you really want to impress your guests, get out on the lake on one of Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises Floating Boardrooms; the five boats' capacities range from 80 to more than 350.

Colorado

Reach for the stars when you plan your next board retreat or intimate event at The Broadmoor's Cloud Camp, 3,000 feet above Colorado Springs. The camp features 11 one- and two-bedroom luxury cabins, the Fire Tower Suite, and an 8,500-square-foot main lodge with seven guest rooms and meeting space. Adjoining the lodge is an expansive wrap-around deck overlooking Pike National Forest, perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Aside from its exclusivity, Cloud Camp also boasts outdoor activities like guided hikes and nature walks, disc golf and yoga by day, stargazing and roasting s'mores by night. Whatever you choose, you can rest assured that the exemplary service found at The Broadmoor extends to the clouds, too.

California

Imagine hosting an event under the canopy of 1,000-year-old redwood trees, dining creekside, or chatting with your colleagues fireside and under the stars. These are but a few of the more than 30 venues on 75 private acres that the 1440 Multiversity team can arrange for you and your group in Scotts Valley, between San Jose and Santa Cruz. The relaxed, natural atmosphere is conducive to open and honest conversations, and 1440 Multiversity's events team can arrange wellness classes and team-building activities that complement the business at hand, and at the same time encourage your guests to stretch their mental and physical boundaries.

Utah

The Stein Eriksen Lodge team is ready to get your group out into the great outdoors with memorable activities, from snow shoeing in the winter to river rafting in the summer, and even bobsledding on an Olympic course any time of year. Why not start or end the day outdoors by utilizing the 1,700 square foot outdoor deck overlooking the southeast views of the Deer Valley Resort mountain.

Park City is not only 45 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, but a terrific destination for meetings and events with its luxurious accommodations and state-of-the-art facilities. With more than 24,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, you are sure to find the right configuration for your group.

West Virginia

Throw open the doors and host your event outside with stunning views of the Allegheny Mountains when you choose The Greenbrier, a National Historic Landmark that began welcoming guests in 1778. Breathe in the fresh air on one of the property's outdoor terraces, terrific for hosting breaks, power lunches and networking events. These flexible spaces range from 1,269 to 13,420 square feet and can accommodate between 150 and 800 guests. Though the property is historic, the amenities and technology are anything but.  Your Conference Concierge will guide you every step of the way, assuring a flawless event that you and your guests are sure to enjoy. When it comes to team-building and downtime, there are plenty of activities to keep everyone happy - more than 50, in fact - from teeing off on one of the resort's five golf courses to fly fishing to falconry, and much more.
