The inaugural Luxury Wedding Showcase by Destination Weddings by ALHI was designed to redefine the landscape for wedding planners and hoteliers by fostering intimate connections and meaningful relationships.

Set in the picturesque setting of Del Mar, Calif., the groundbreaking event was hosted by two ALHI luxury properties, L'Auberge Del Mar and Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa. The exclusive, three-day luxury retreat was meticulously crafted and unlike any other existing wedding industry event, the invite-only gathering employed a one-to-one planner-to-hotelier ratio, ensuring personalized and meaningful interactions.  


Bringing together 25 top wedding planners from across the country and 25 hotel members from around the globe, this event was crafted through a meticulously curated program combining relaxation, networking and luxurious activities. 


The Opening Event 


The event kicked off with a stunning welcome reception on the Pacific Terrace at L'Auberge Del Mar, where guests were treated to a breathtaking view of the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The reception’s “sunset vibes” theme set a serene and inviting tone. Live music entertained the group, while an array of fresh seafood and signature cocktails satisfied everyone’s palates. As a special treat, Nemacolin Resort sponsored a bespoke bare in partnership with Cocktail Academy, featuring customized negronis. 


Day Two 

Early risers enjoyed sunrise yoga the next morning before activities shifted to Estancia La Jolla, where a full day of engaging and fun-filled events awaited. Kelly Accetta, known as The Truth Coach, delivered an inspiring talk, setting the stage for a day of team-building activities. The day's itinerary included unique experiences such as tequila and truffle tasting and a floral workshop. The highlight  was a lively cooking challenge featuring a salsa and guacamole contest alongside a margarita-making competition, sponsored by The Cocktail Academy. 

Day Three 

Guests had the opportunity to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings at a more leisurely pace. The day began with an insightful session from Sam Jacobson, Founder of Ideaction Consulting. Attendees then had the option to relax by the pool, visit the beach, or engage in pre-selected activities such as spa treatments, surfing lessons or professional hair and makeup sessions with accompanying headshots. The pool area became a central hub of relaxation and enjoyment, featuring fun drinks and food, and live music. 
The BuDhaGirl cabana was another highlight. BuDhaGirl generously gifted each attendee with its signature, customized bangle stacks and matching handbags.  
BuDhaGirl champagne, sponsored by PGA National Resort, added an extra layer of indulgence. 



The event concluded with an opulent gala night themed “Under the Ethereal Sea.” This luxurious affair included a five-course meal, exquisite wine pairings and plenty of dancing, providing a perfect end to an unforgettable experience.  
The final morning featured a hot air balloon ride at sunrise, offering a breathtaking farewell to the attendees before they departed for their respective homes.
