The renovation marks the arrival of a new era for the treasured coastal property as it introduces a collection of property upgrades, elevated experiences and key sustainability initiatives. With renovation highlights inclusive of upgrades to the property’s luxurious guest rooms, spacious pool and upscale pool bar overlooking the Pacific Ocean and inviting “Living Room” and lobby area as well as the introduction of an entirely new culinary experience and new programming, L’Auberge Del Mar redefines the seaside resort experience.

The vision of Miami-based hospitality design firm Bigtime Design Studios, L’Auberge Del Mar’s renovation further elevates the beloved property’s welcoming shared spaces and luxurious guest rooms, creating a modern, welcoming ambiance. Offering a refreshed color palette and incorporating elements of California modern with coastal transitional design, the renovation celebrates the indoor/outdoor nature of the resort and its picturesque seaside location. The lobby area, affectionately referred to as the “Living Room,” boasts an open floor plan that allows the coastal breeze to flow through and serves as an homage to L’Auberge Del Mar’s authentic appreciation for the surrounding community and timeless sense of place.
L’Auberge Del Mar features a collection of 121 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, including seven breathtaking suites that offer a peaceful, luxurious escape. Also envisioned and brought to life by Bigtime Design Studios, room and suite upgrades include a refreshed color palette of neutrals and coastal-inspired blues, similar to those seen throughout the hotel’s reimagined lobby area, complemented by throw pillows and new bedding; the addition of gold-plated bedside reading lights and the introduction of new living area furniture for the resort’s larger rooms and suites. Each of L’Auberge Del Mar’s suites and select guest rooms feature private balconies that welcome the fresh, salt-infused breeze and offer various views including the bustling Del Mar village; L’Auberge Del Mar’s lush, manicured gardens and grounds and the sparkling Pacific Ocean just steps away from the resort. Ranging in size from 450 to 1,200 square feet, the resort’s suites offer welcoming shared living spaces, marble-clad bathrooms and custom finishes to enhance an opulent seaside stay.
