Southern Utah’s Black Desert Resort is showcasing the resort's first phase of completion via a soft preview, followed by a grand opening in spring 2025. The resort’s preview period will introduce a collection of guest rooms and suites, along with 45,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor meeting and events space. Guests can also look forward to seven distinctive dining outlets, ranging from a statement-making steakhouse to a lively 20th-hole lounge, and a family-friendly open-air dining experience. A heated outdoor pool and hot tub will round out the initial offerings.
The resort spans over 600 acres and is set at the convergence of three major ecosystems—the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin and the Colorado Plateau. The preview phase opening follows the Black Desert Championship, part of the PGA Tour’s 2024 FedExCup, which took place on the resort’s Tom Weiskopf-designed championship course October 9-13, 2024.
The resort’s food and beverage options include Latitude, a family-friendly, open-air restaurant; Basalt steakhouse and bar; 20th Hole clubhouse and bar; Flo Lobby Bar; Lava Love Coffee Bar; Oasis, a Mexican-style taqueria; and Club 73 restaurant. Black Desert Resort offers more than 45,000 square feet of flexible and light-filled indoor-outdoor meeting space as well as outdoor event venues, including ballrooms that offer multiple breakout capabilities and terraces.
Situated amid the centuries-old lava beds and sandstone cliffs of Greater Zion, Black Desert Resort will offer easy access to Snow Canyon and Zion National Park, as well as more than 200 acres of preserved land, six miles of hiking trails, scenic bike paths, and more.
In Spring 2025, Black Desert Resort will debut additional luxurious guest rooms and suites, as well as the 15,000 square-foot Black Desert Spa, created in collaboration with renowned spa designer Sylvia Sepelli. The spa will offer state-of-the-art equipment for therapeutic sessions including the Dry Float, Salt Booth, Hyper Pod, and Curva Lounger. The Black Desert Spa will also include nine wellness suites and signature outdoor spa experiences. These cutting-edge technologies combined with sensory experiences will transport guests to a realm of pure relaxation and rejuvenation, leaving them feeling refreshed and renewed.
Black Desert Resort is unlike any other development in Utah and will change the face of hospitality in Southern Utah and nationwide.
