SEE
East Side Gallery

What was once the Berlin Wall is now the longest open-air gallery in the world. Spanning more than 4,300 square feet, the gallery is the longest continuous section of the wall still in existence. When the wall came down in November 1989, 118 artists from 21 countries around the world began creating works of art to serve as a memorial; East Side Gallery opened a year later. Guided tours are available.
Museum Island

In the heart of Berlin is Spreeinsel, or Spree Island, home to five world-class museums ripe for exploration. The collection of museums, known as Museum Island, achieved UNESCO World Heritage status in 1999. Take time to wander the Bode-Museum, Neues Museum, Alte Nationalgalerie and Altes Museum, the first museum on the island; the Pergamonmuseum is currently closed for renovations. Guided tours can be customized to cater to your clients’ interests.
Brandenburg Gate

Built in the late-1700s, Brandenburg Gate is one of Berlin’s most iconic sites. Though it was built long before the Cold War, the monument symbolizes the reunion of Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It’s also the city’s only surviving historical city gate.

DO
Get On a Boat

Treat your clients to a boat ride down the River Spree for a unique perspective of the city’s mix of modern and historic architecture. A variety of itineraries are available, as are evening cruises to see the city lit up at night.
Mauerpark Flea Market

Going to a flea market may not be a typical activity during a corporate retreat, but Mauerpark Flea Market is worth a second thought. Here you’ll find stalls offering wares ranging from clothes and musical instruments to toys, jewelry and vinyl, and so much more. Rather than another t-shirt, find a fun memento of Berlin to take home with you.
Berliner Fernsehturm

For a bird’s eye view of Berlin, visit Berliner Fernsehturm, or Berlin TV Tower. Soar to the top for 360-degree views from the Observation Deck, or take your time and enjoy a virtual reality account of nine centuries of the city’s history via Berlin’s Odyssey. Raise a toast at Sphere Bar, or dine at Sphere Restaurant with all of Berlin at your feet. Groups are readily accommodated.

EAT
Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebap
Berliners love their street food, and one of their favorites is Mustafa’s Gemüse Kebap. Take one bite of a kebab (kepbap in Berlin), whether chicken, dürüm, or vegetable, dipped in one of the homemade sauces and you’ll understand why it’s worth standing in line.
merold
For fresh takes on classic German dishes, make reservations at merold. Here, dishes highlight fresh regional ingredients from Berlin and Brandenburg, like braised onion served with buckwheat and black garlic, and guinea fowl ravioli with chantarelles and bacon. Don’t skip the house-made bratwurst, which changes monthly; perhaps beef, sauerkraut and house-made doubanjiang, or with kohlrabi and mustard.
CODA

For a truly unforgettable dining experience in Berlin, make reservations for CODA, the first restaurant in Germany to earn two Michelin stars. Inspired by desserts, CODA’s culinary team uses patisserie techniques to create their dishes, blending flavors you didn’t know you needed, like eggplant, pecan, apple balsamic vinegar and liquorice salt; or parsley root, black garlic and pistachio.
