Even with its small size of just 21 square miles, there are plenty of options when it comes to things to see and do in Bermuda, as well as places to grab a bite to eat, or host a power lunch or dinner. Here, we look at a few spots around the island to pique your interest.
SEE
City of Hamilton
Though a small island, Bermuda’s history runs deep. The accessible Discover Hamilton Walking Tour is led by Ed Christopher, the town crier and one of the country’s most well-known and knowledgeable local figures. Groups can work with Ed to customize a tour that winds through the city and past its landmarks while he shares stories about the people and places who have made Hamilton what it is today.
Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute
Bobbing in the North Atlantic Ocean, it’s of little surprise that Bermuda’s especially keen on all things water. The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI) is a terrific place to learn all about the aquatic landscape, from the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle to the island’s geography and the marine mammals and animals that live beneath the ocean’s surface. BUEI is available for private events, too.
Crystal Caves
Follow in the footsteps of Mark Twain when you take your exploration of Bermuda underground and into the Crystal Caves; Twain was the first tourist in the caves when he visited in 1908. A guided tour winds along the pathways floating atop a crystal-clear lake with stalactites growing overhead. The caves are truly a natural phenomenon, and reservations are highly recommended.

DO
Jet Ski Tour
The turquoise waters surrounding Bermuda are just too tempting, so when it’s time to break for the day, opt for a jet ski tour! After a quick lesson, even novice jet skiers will be ready to ride and navigate their ways to underwater caves, through marinas filled with impressive yachts, over shipwrecks and to beaches to laze in the sun.
Catamaran Cruise
Another way to have fun on-the-water, but a bit more relaxed than on a jet ski, is on a catamaran cruise. Charter a day trip complete with stand-up paddling, snorkeling, swimming and kayaking, or end the day with a sail at sunset. When the sun dips below the horizon and the sky lights up in pastels… well, it’s truly unforgettable.
Golf
What would a trip to Bermuda be without a round of golf? It’s quite impressive that, at just 21 square miles, the island boasts seven world-class golf courses designed by the likes of Charles Blair McDonald and Robert Trent Jones, Sr. In addition to being challenging, the golfing affords stunning views at every hole.
