Imagine this: Your group has just wrapped up a day of productive sessions at Mohegan Sun. Now, the energy shifts to a fun-filled evening of team building or networking. A reserved Sky Suite inside the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena becomes your VIP perch for the night—catered and buzzing with the excitement of a live concert, game or show.
Or maybe the highlight of the evening is a private buyout of the casual 260-seat Comix Roadhouse, where stand-up comedy or magic performances are paired with great food and drinks and perfect for groups looking to unwind and connect in a fun setting. Another option? Your group gathers at the 300-seat TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge for an immersive dining experience, enjoying a curated menu of Asian-inspired dishes. Crowd favorites like Peking duck and lobster wontons are served alongside top-shelf sake and craft cocktails.

Located in Uncasville, Connecticut, and in between New York City and Boston, Mohegan Sun is the kind of all-in-one resort where meeting planners can seamlessly blend business with standout entertainment—and do it all on a grand scale. From chef-driven restaurants and high-profile headliners to expansive meeting space and unique team building venues, Mohegan Sun redefines what it means to host a group event.
Here’s more on the meeting potential that awaits at Mohegan Sun.
Massive, Flexible Meeting Space

Mohegan Sun boasts 275,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including the 125,000-square-foot Earth Expo & Convention Center and two grand ballrooms spanning 36,500 and 20,000 square feet. In total, there are 48 breakout or meeting rooms available, offering planners a versatile canvas to work with.
But that’s just the start.
The Mohegan Sun Arena—which has hosted big-name performers like Taylor Swift, Billy Joel and Beyoncé—can be transformed into 30,000 square feet of open event space, making it one of the most unique venues in the region for large-scale gatherings. The Mohegan Sun Arena is also one of the country’s premier concert destinations, staging more than 100 shows annually. It’s home to the Connecticut Sun WNBA team and regularly hosts combat sports and other high-energy events. On the upcoming roster? Train, O.A.R., Bonnie Raitt, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Adam Sandler.
Meanwhile, the 400-seat Cabaret Theatre is a crowd favorite for presentations, game shows, musical acts and comedy. Add in the Comix Roadhouse—with its casual, lively vibe—and you’ve got a range of entertainment-driven venues ideal for corporate events.
“Being home to Mohegan Sun Arena as well as so many other incredible entertainment venues like Comix Roadhouse and The Cabaret Theatre truly sets our destination apart from competition,” said Mohegan Sun President and General Manager Jeff Hamilton.
Outdoor events get their moment, too, thanks to the reimagined Sun Patio. The space accommodates up to 2,500 guests, includes a full stage, and offers an energetic backdrop for lunches, receptions and team-building events, said Mohegan Sun Vice President of Sales and Marketing Kim Simone.
This year, Mohegan Sun is leaning into al fresco celebrations, hosting new festivals like the Backyard Beats music festival and Taste of the Mediterranean. These additions join established resort favorites like the New England Christmas Festival in November and the four-day Sun Wine & Food Fest in January.
The Mohegan Sun Golf Club adds another outdoor option to the mix—perfect for hosting tournaments or more relaxed corporate outings in a scenic setting.
This dynamic lineup of meeting spaces is complemented by 40-plus restaurants, exceptional nightlife, the 130,000-square-foot Shops at Mohegan Sun, award-winning hotel towers each with a Mandara Spa, and nonstop entertainment throughout the year.
“These amenities provide groups with the ability to deliver exceptional events,” Hamilton said.
Food & Beverage That Goes Beyond Expectations

Event experiences at Mohegan Sun extend well beyond the boardroom, reaching into some of the property's premier restaurants and lounges, and the resort recently welcomed several exciting culinary additions.
The new Beauty & Essex delivers a speakeasy-style vibe, said Mohegan Sun Vice President of Food and Beverage Chris Greaney, complete with private dining rooms. Guests enter through a curated modern-day pawn shop, which is a signature element of the Beauty & Essex brand, before discovering the multi-room dining space that includes Pearl Lounge & Bar, a cocktail haven perfect for happy hours; the opulent 132-seat Peacock Dining Room; and the 24-seat, jewelry inspired Locket Private Dining Room. Menu highlights span from oysters from the raw bar to dry-aged steaks.
At Farm Italy Mohegan Sun—which has been recognized as one of OpenTable’s top 100 restaurants in the U.S.—guests are treated to handcrafted Italian cuisine in a stunning, design-forward setting that’s perfect for group dinners or celebratory meals, said Greaney.

Meanwhile, The Shed offers a more casual, chef-driven brunch and comfort food menu that’s great for daytime and post-meeting meals, with menu items ranging from brioche French toast to butter poached Maine lobster rolls.
Need a mid-morning coffee break or a sweet finish to a successful day? French-focused Sift Bake Shop delivers, with flaky pastries like strawberry rhubarb croissants, and cheese and guava Danish. Meanwhile, A.T.Y. Bar & Bonbons is a decadent dessert destination, offering happy hours and indulgent sips like an Old Fashioned made with chocolate-washed bourbon. Both are helmed by award-winning pastry chef Adam Young, crowned Food Network’s “Best Baker in America.”
When it's time to let loose, Game On—a 23,000-square-foot playground for grown-ups—comes through for team building and social events. It’s stocked with luxury bowling lanes, more than 50 retro arcade games, karaoke, and a full bar, making it a natural fit for everything from casual mixers to large-scale private events.
“Corporate teams often use the space for networking, friendly competitions, or post-meeting celebrations,” Greaney said. “Its energetic vibe and variety of activities make it a go-to for groups seeking a fun, memorable break from the boardroom.”
And that blend of world-class service, flexibility and fun is what keeps groups coming back. Seventy percent of meetings and events clients are repeats, a testament to the experience Mohegan Sun delivers, Simone said.
“They also can come back each year and experience something different given the multitude of options at Mohegan Sun,” she said.
